Uno dei miei posti preferiti per un drink dopo il lavoro, sopratutto in inverno quando fuori fa freddo e l’ambiente di Beekman Hotel e’ cosi’ caldo ed accogliente.

L’hotel occupa quello che era in origine un edificio in stile Queen Anne del 1881. Si trova al 5 di Beekman Street, in zona Fulton/Seaport a Downtown. L’hotel e’ meravigliosamente pensato in ogni dettaglio, dal pavimento a mattonelle esagonali, ai soffitti di “camoscio”… ma la parte certamente piu’ “WOW” e’ l’atrio vittoriano di nove piani con lucernario. La luce e’ argentata ma calda. Magica.

  One of my favorite places places for a drink after work, especially in winter when it’s so cold outside and Beekman’s Hotel ambiance is warm and cozy.

The hotel occupies a landmark Queen Anne building from 1881. It’s located at 5 Beekman Street, in the Fulton/Seaport area in Downtown Manhattan. The hotel is wonderfully thought out in every small details, from the floor’s hexagonal tiles, to the “suede” ceilings… but the real WOW factor is in the  magnificent nine-story Victorian atrium and pyramidal skylight. The light is silvery and yet warm, magical I would say.
