Oggi vi porto con me al di la di New York City. In un terrotorio lontano e sconosciuto. Misterioso e pericolossissimo.

ahahha Scusate ma mi sono un po’ divertita con la classica dualita’ tra NJ – New Jersey e NY – New York. Due stati divisi proprio da Manhattan e dal fiume Hudson. C’e’ una palpabile rivalita’ tra i due ed io che vivo qui da 11 anni non potevo non giocarci.

E cosi’ ieri, praticamente per la prima volta in vita mia (ok lo so: inacettabile, la mia parola preferita!) ho preso il PATH train (che collega appunto Manhattan a New Jersey) e mi sono avventurata in compagnia di Ante. Il nostro obiettivo: la festa di compleanno della figlia di una nostra collega ed amica. Una festa che neanche il matrimonio di Ante. Ma deve essere cosi’: dopotutto siamo in NJ. Let’s play it big!

Abbiamo preso il PATH train da Oculus, il Transportation Hub dell’architetto spagnolo Santiago Calatrava e ci siamo pure imbattuti in una bellissima mostra sul nostro “Giudizio Universale”. Abbiamo fatto i glitter tattoo, mangiato dolci e poi ripartiti. Non prima di aver fatto un giro sul boardwalk con vista su Financial District.

Soddisfatti direi!

Today we go beyond New York City guys! In a very far and unknown territory. One that is mysterious and very dangerous.

LOL Ok, sorry about that my fellow New Jersey friends, I am just having a bit of fun with the duality between NJ – New Jersey and NY – New York. Two states divided by Manhattan and the Hudson River. It’s a palpable rivalry, and being a New Yorker I couldn’t avoid to play with it.

For the first time in my life (I know: unacceptable! my favorite word) I jumped on the PATH train and I started the amazing adventure in company of Ante. Our objective: the birthday party of the daughter of a colleague and friend of ours. A party so big that Ante’s wedding in comparison was a small, contained thing. After all, we are in NJ!  Let’s play it big!

We took the PATH train from Oculus, the Transportation Hub built by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. Inside Oculus we found an art exhibition dedicated to  our own “Giudizio Universale”.  We got glitter tattoos, we  ate sweets and then we got back to NYC. Not before a stroll along the boardwalk, facing the Financial District.

We were super satisfied with our mini-trip to Jersey City!
