Oggi facciamo un giretto in treno ed andiamo a Greenwich, in Connecticut, a trovare una cara amica.
Greenwich e’ una piccola cittadina appena dopo il confine tra lo stato di New York ed il Connecticut, per l’appunto. Proprio per via della sua vicinanza da NYC (40-50 minuti in treno da Grand Central) ma con tasse piu’ basse rispetto allo stato di NY, ha attirato negli anni un sacco di societa’ finanziarie, hedge funds & co.
Fondata nella prima meta’ del 1600, Greenwich prende nome dall’omonimo quartiere di Londra e conta circa 65,000 abitanti.
Che cosa mi piace di Greenwich, CT? I tantissimi cottage curatissimi, i prati verdi, gli alberi sinuosi, i fari, le minuscole isole selvaggie, i farmers market, le barche a vela nei tantissimi porticcioli, le spiaggie nascoste, l’oceano a portata di mano… trovate tutto nel video sotto.

Today we take the train and go visit a dear friend of mine who lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Greenwich is a small town located right outside the border between New York State and Connecticut. Thanks to it’s strategic position so close to NYC (only a 40-50 minutes ride via train from Grand Central), it has been attracting over the years many financial institutions looking for the proximity to Manhattan and a lower taxation.
Founded in the first half of 1600, Greenwich takes its name from the London neighborhood and has about 65,000 inhabitants.
What is it that I adore about Greenwich, CT? The many impeccably curated cottages, the green yards, the sinuous trees, the lighthouses, the tiny wild islands, the farmers market, the sail boats docked in its harbors, the hidden beaches and the ocean… and you can see it all in the video below.
