Ogni sabato, per tutta l’estate, Village Alliance organizza tour grauiti dell’East Village, rain or shine, come si dice qui. Con pioggia e con sole, il ritrovo e’ sempre lo stesso: l’angolo sud east tra la Seconda Avenue e St. Marks Place. Il tour dura 90 minuti ed inizia puntualissimo alle 11.30AM. Se sapete bene l’inglese, lo consiglio altamente. Tocca davvero tutti i punti piu’ importanti del Village, sia dal punto di visto storico che piu’ “frivolo”.

L’ edificio dove Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney ha aperto il primo Whitney Museum, St. Marks’ Place, Washington Square e poi l’esatto punto in cui Abraham Lincoln dichiaro’ ‘Right Makes Might’, che gli consegno’ la presidenza (Cooper Union).

Every Saturday, for the entire summer, Village Alliance organizes free tours of the East Village, rain or shine. The tours meet at the corner of Second Avenue and St. Marks Place at 11.30Am and lasts for 90 minutes.  It touches all the most exciting places in the Village, from the more historical ones to the more “frivolous” ones.

The building where Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney opened the very first Whitney Museum, St. Marks’ Place, Washington Square and finally, the precise spot where Abraham Lincoln declaired ‘Right Makes Might’, which gave him the presidency of the US.
