Enjoy ragazzi!

SoHo, the acronym for South of Houston Street, is the trapezoidal area between Houston Street & 6ht Avenue and between Canal Street and Crosby Street.
NoLIta, North of Little Italy is located between Lafayette and the Bowery and between Houston Street & Broome Street.
I particularly adore these two areas in Manhattan thanks to their wonderful cast iron buildings as well as the crafty details spread here and there: murals, street vendors, small restaurants like Jack’s Wife Freeda or the ice cream pop up store Oldfellows Icecream. Impossible to think nowadays that it used to be a not-so-recommendable area during the 80’s and 90’s as often seen in many movies, especially Woody’s (Allen).
Gentrified by artists and designers first, is it often happens in the areas in Manhattan undergoing a renewal -Williamsburg and Greenpoint are great examples, as well as Bushwick which is currently happening, NoLIta and SoHo have been the place to be for years now, with stores such as Chanel, Dior, Prada & co.
One gets the best experience out of these neighborhoods from inside the buildings. I went to a meeting yesterday in one of these wonderful cast iron buildings and I took a video to show you what I meant. It’s a real gem.
Enjoy guys!
