Il Memorial Day segna l’inizio dell’estate a New York. Per molti e’ il primo e vero ponte lungo dall’inizio dell’anno, con tempo clemente e la possibilità di scappare per qualche giorno al mare, in campagna o in qualche resort.

Memorial Day e’ un giorno da passare con amici e famiglia, un po’ il nostro primo maggio, anche come temperature.  Si mangiano marshmellows alla brace, s’mores – – – > video sotto,  ed ovviamente si inaugura la stagione dei barbeques, data importantissima per tutti i miei amici americani (e non solo, devo dire!).

Quest’anno approfitto per andare a trovare a New Orleans una delle mie più care amiche , Jenn, che ha avuto di recente la sua seconda bimba… modalità zia: ON!

Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer in New York City. For many, it is the first chance to enjoy a long week-end, with nice weather and the chance to escape to the beach, to the country or to a resort for a few days.

Memorial Day is a day to be spent with friends and family, eating warm marshmellows and s’mores – – – > see the video below … and of course it marks the beginning of the season of barbeques. Super important to my fellow american friends.

This year I took off a couple of days and I will visit Jenn, one of my dearest friends here in US. Jenn lives in New Orleans and recently had her second daughter.

I am ready to be a aunt for a few days =)
